What type of work did the project involve? It was a full refit of a beauty salon and it involved plastering, electrics, painting, decorating and plumbing.

How did you choose BS Building Services? I go to Barry's girlfriend to have my hair done and I would tell her about my plans for re-fitting the salon. She suggested I give Barry a ring, that he was very meticulous and fussy. After meeting with Barry, I figured if he even did half of what he promised, he'd be brilliant. I really liked his enthusiasm. Everything I asked about, like references, whether he was registered and such, he was all over it. Everything checked out. That meant a lot to me because it's easy to be let down by somebody. So I went with my gut and chose Barry to do the work.

Had you definite ideas before you talked to BS Building Services? Yes, I knew exactly how I wanted it to look when it was finished.

Did BS Building Services suggest new ideas? I already knew exactly what I wanted but Barry definitely had suggestions and he made some very good ones. I suppose I knew what I needed it to end up looking like and he was able to provide the people to create that result.

How did the project run in terms of practicalities like scheduling and workmanship? Barry didn't just "talk the talk, he walked the walk" and he was all about getting the job done on time. I had let Barry know when he could be in doing the work and when he couldn't, and he worked through the night when he needed to. Barry worked very hard to get the project done on time and it was. I can't sing his praises highly enough.

He had a great team of guys working with him and I could tell that they had great respect for Barry. Nothing was ever a problem and if anything needed doing, he was all over it. I'm very happy with the workmanship and how it all turned out.

What's your favourite part now? I don't have one particular favourite, I love it all.
