What type of work did the project involve? Barry extended our end of terrace house to the back and side creating a spacious open plan kitchen, living room, dining space and snug. We also gained a huge downstairs bathroom with separate large shower and bath.

How did you choose BS Building Services? Barry was recommended to us by a friend of my brothers who had recently had an extension built. I contacted the couple to ask about BS Building Services and they highly recommended him. I called Barry and he arranged a call out. He was very easy to chat to and his quote was very reasonable. We had contacted two other builders but felt that we had built a good relationship with Barry right from the very start.

Had you definite ideas before you talked to BS Building Services? Yes. We had been saving for a long time to get exactly what we wanted and after watching home renovation shows for years we knew exactly what we wanted and what would suit our family and lifestyle.

Did BS Building Services suggest new ideas? Barry had some fantastic ideas which enhanced our original plan in a massive way.

How did the project run in terms of practicalities like scheduling and workmanship? Barry gave us a date and stuck to it. We couldn’t believe our luck with getting a builder of this calibre. His workmanship was to such a high standard it felt like he was working on his own home, he had such attention to detail and sense of pride to his finishes. At all times we had clear communication and he was always available for a chat, no question/request was too silly. They were punctual and the site was left spotless at the end of each day and his employees were an absolute pleasure to deal with also.

What's your favourite part now? The extension has changed our family life so much. We love spending time at home now and having people over.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using BS Building Services We feel Barry went above and beyond for us and can’t thank him enough. We will be getting more work done in the future, hopefully adding a playroom and porch and there is no doubt in our minds that there is no one else we would use for the job.

Would you recommend BS Building Services? Without hesitation. I can’t recommend them enough.
